Same thing happened to me, you only get the most recent update to the game if you have paid the full price for the game, otherwise you need to wait for the newest version to release to the public, like everyone else.

I made the same mistake, which I didn't do it in the first place and get tricked like that.

I've had the same issue.

This was the second Itch game I bought, and the other allows me to download the most recent versions as they come out, it's just this one that doesn't.

Its even worse here, I stay in South Africa, for example, $20 is 375 ZAR at the moment, which is close to what I would pay for some A-list games here, depending on the game.

I was a bit disappointed when I saw that I don't get the most recent versions after forking out so much cash for a game that is still in development because I wanted to support the creator.

Same here, bought the game twice but again can't access the newest version

Not really sure why I bought this game. I can't load my saves from the previous version, and I can't even use the launcher cause it doesn't show that I paid for this game.

I did that, I even reinstalled the app and logged out and in again, still only shows that I can play the demo..
